Li Guohong is a PhD candidate at Politecnico di Torino, and a member of the FullComp team as an ESR under the H2020 Marie Sklodowska-Curie European Training Network. He earned his master’s degree in Aircraft Design at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, China, 2014, with a thesis on simulation of composite stiffened panels with defects, sponsored by Aviation Industry Corporation of China. He also participated in several research projects on buckling/post-buckling and failure analysis of composite structures during his postgraduate period, in cooperation with AVIC, COMAC, et al. He worked as FEA Engineer at Tenneco China Engineering Centre (Shanghai) for one year (2014-2015), responsible for product validation through numerical simulation techniques. He got his bachelor’s degree in Engineering Mechanics at Northwestern Polytechnical University, China, 2007. His research activity as part of the FullComp project will be focused on the development of variable, mixed, linear and nonlinear kinematic shell formulations including thermal, igrothermal, piezo and magnetic effects.
