Yumei Chen is a PhD student at the Mechanical Engineering & Mechanics school of Ningbo University. She gained her Master's Degree at Ningbo University in March 2012 under the supervision of Prof. Ji Wang. Then she was a lecturer in the School of Electrical and Mold Engineering at Taizhou Vocational College of Science and Technology. From September 2021, she continued her Ph.D. work at Ningbo University under the supervision of Prof. Wang Ji. Starting in October 2022, she continued her PhD study in Politecnico di Torino under the supervision of Prof. Erasmo Carrera with the support of the China Scholarship Council. Her research project is about the theoretical and experimental study of elastic wave regulation of spiral metamaterials.
