Xiao Liu is a Ph.D. student at Central South University. He gained his Bachelor’s degree in Traffic Equipment and Control Engineering at Central South University in June 2018 by discussing a thesis on aeroelastic stability of slender structures with various cross sections. Afterward, he joined the master program in the School of Traffic & Transportation Engineering at Central South University in September 2018 under the supervision of Prof. Xiang Liu. During this period, his main research was buckling analysis of orthotropic plates and fluid-structure interaction vibration of high-speed train windshield. From September 2020, he continued his PhD work at Central South University under the supervision of Prof. Xiang Liu and worked on stochastic dynamic analysis and damped vibration analysis of beam and plate structure. Then in 2022, she received a scholarship from China Scholarship Council to pursue study with the MUL2 research group under the supervision of prof. Alfonso Pagani in Italy for 8 months. In March 2023, she came to the Politecnico di Torino and joined the MUL2 research group under the supervision of prof. Alfonso Pagani. His research project is focused on the exact solutions for free/forced/damped vibration analysis of composite beams by the Carrera Unified Formulation and Dynamic Stiffness Method.
