Pierluigi Iannotti is a Mechanical Engineer working at Politecnico di Torino as a Ph.D. student. He obtained his MSc from Politecnico di Torino in July 2020, with a thesis on the validation of a multi-body model of a ball screw mechanism used for prognostic techniques applied to progressive failure mode identification on electromechanical actuators. In November 2021, Pierluigi started his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering under the supervision of Prof. Carrera, Prof. Pagani, and Prof. Petrolo. His research focuses on the implementation of Machine Learning techniques in the field of structural mechanics and their application to failure onset analysis for composite materials.
