Seyed Abdollah Sheikholeslami, Visiting Scientist
Seyed Abdollah Sheikholeslami is a Ph.D. Candidate of Mechanical Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) in Tehran, Iran. He earned his B.Sc. in Solid Mechanics from Shiraz University in 2010. Then he received his M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman in 2012, defending his thesis on “application of a higher-order shear and normal deformable plate theory to vibration analysis of compressible and incompressible functionally graded plates”. He has some publications in international journals, conferences and workshops. He has also more than 2 years of experience as lecturer at Islamic Azad University in Iran, and he has been teaching assistant for more than 4 years at Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman and AmirKabir University of Technology. As his Ph.D. thesis, he is working on “multiscale analysis of nonlinear magnetostrictive multilayer composites” under supervision of Professor M. M. Aghdam. From February 2015, he has been a visiting researcher in Mul2 research team at Politecnico di Torino, under supervision of Professor Erasmo Carrera.

Prashanta Kr. Mahato, Visiting Scientist
Prashanta Kr. Mahato is a visiting scholar (Post Doctoral) under Erasmus Mundus India4EU exchange programme in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Polytechnic di Torino, Turin, Italy. He is working with Prof. Erasmo Carreras group on static, dynamic and aeroelastic analysis of laminated composites beams, blades and boxes using CUF finite element model. He has completed his PhD from the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur under the guidance of Prof. D. K. Maiti on 2010. Then, he joined as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad. He earned his Bachelors from Kalyani Government Engineering College, Kalyani and Masters from Bengal Engineering and Science University, Howrah, WB. His research interests include study of laminated composite structure, smart structures, computational & experimental mechanics and aero-elasticity.

Șeremet Victor, Visiting Professor
After earning degree (Industrial and Civil Engineering in 1970), receiving his PhD degree (Strength of Materials in 1974) and Doctor of Technical Science (Mechanics of Solid Deformable Body in 1986) at the Moscow State University of Civil Engineering, Russia, Victor Șeremet had working at the Technical University of Moldova (as Researcher and Superior Lecturer in 1974, as Associate Professor in 1995), at the Agrarian State University of Moldova (as Associate Professor since 1975 and Professor since 1998), at the Academy of Transports and Communications of Moldova (2002–2003-Professor of Mathematics, 2005–2006 - Professor and Head of the Department of Engineering Sciences), where he held courses of Strength of Materials, Structural Mechanics, Engineering Constructions, Mathematics, Theoretical Mechanics and Soil Mechanics. In 1995 he received his highest degree of Doctor Habilatation in Physico-mathematical Sciences (Mechanics of Solid Deformable Body, 1995) at Technical University of Moldova. He has visited the “Gheorge Asachi” Technical University of Iasi, Romania, as invited Professor (2002), the Paris-Est University, Paris, France - four times as Invited Professor (in 2004, 2005, 2007, and 2010), Weierstrass Institute for Applied Analysis and Stochastic (WIAS), Berlin, Germany, as Guest Researcher (2008), at Politecnico di Torino, DIMEAS, MUL2 project, as Professor under a EMA2 EUROEAST Grant (2013), and at Henan University of Technology (China), as Visiting Professor (3 months since 16 December 2013). His main current research topic is the constructing the Green’s functions and matrices and their application in applied mechanics. He is author of 9 books and of more than 130 articles on this topic, many of which have been published in international journals. He is thrice laureate of prizes of Academy of Sciences of Moldova (2005, 2010, 2012), fellow of Institute of Technology of GB (2003), best professor of UASM (2003), Laureate of Prize and Diploma of Merit of S CSTD of Moldova etc. Occasionally, he serves as referee for some international journals as EABE, Journal Mechanics of Solids (British Royal Society), Journal Mechanics of Advances Materials and Structures, Transylvanian Journal of Mechanics and Mathematics, Journal of Thermal Stresses, and Cambridge Journal of Mechanics.

Dan Min, Visiting Scientist
Dan Min(但敏) is an aeronautical engineer and superior lecturer in Civil Aviation University of China (CAUC). After earning master degree of science in Aeronautical and Aerospace Manufacture Engineering in May 2010 by discussing a thesis on the delamination damage of laminated shells with the Finite Element Method, he works as a teacher in Aeronautical Engineering College of CAUC. Dan Min studied the structure of B737 and CFM56 in Aircraft Maintenance & Engineering Corporation of Beijing(2012, 2013, 2014) as an assistant engineer, and he got the qualification certificate of structure inspection in PW4000 from Hua Pu Aviation Engine Training Center in Beijing(2011,2013). Dan Min published more than 15 papers and most of them can be found in http://www.cnki.net/. Awarded as a Young Backbone Teachers in CAUC, Dan Min studies a visiting scholar since January 2015 under the supervision of Prof. Erasmo Carrera. His research project is related to the development of advanced aeroelastic models for aeronautical applications.

Keshava Kumar S., Visiting PhD Student
Keshava Kumar S. is a Ph.D. student at Department of Aerospace Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He is pursuing his Ph.D under the guidance of Prof. Ranjan Ganguli and Prof. Dineshkumar Harursampath. He earned his Bachelor of Engineering from Bangalore University and Master of Technology specializing in Aerospace Structures from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He has 5+ years of industrial experience, in organizations such as Indian Space Research Organisation, FEAST Software Pvt. Ltd, and TAAL Tech. His research interests include study of delaminated or damaged laminated structures subject to dynamic loads, wave propagation, rotary wing dynamics and rotary wing aeroelasticity. He uses the Variational Asymptotic Method as a tool for mathematical formulation, and obtains solutions using the finite element, spectral element or perturbation methods. He is an Erasmus exchange doctoral student at Politecnico di Torino. He is working with Prof. Erasmo Carrera’s group on delamination modeling in laminated plates using CUF finite element model.
