Mohamed Refat is a Mechanical Engineer working at Politecnico di Torino as a Postdoc researcher. He graduated with a PhD from the University of Bologna with co-supervision from Politecnico di Torino in June 2022, with a thesis on the numerical and experimental analysis of 3D printed smart structures and systems.  Earlier he got his master of science in Mechanics of Materials and Structures from the Polytechnic School of Girona in Spain in 2017 and also obtained his bachelor of science in Mechanical engineering awarded dual degrees both from the British University in Egypt and Loughborough University in the UK.
