Mattia Trombini obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering in September 2019 with a thesis on designing a tunable vibration absorber for aerospace use. He gained his Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering in April 2022 with a thesis on mechanical characterization of FDM-printed materials and components. He started working at MUL2 Research Group with a scholarship in May 2022 under the supervision of Prof. Erasmo Carrera and Prof. Alfonso Pagani. Currently, his research activity consists of evaluating voids effect on mechanical properties of composite materials and implementing theories for 3D progressive failure analysis. He’ll join the PhD programme in November 2022.
