Delicata2

Michele is a research assistant at Politecnico di Torino, under the scope of DEVISU project (DEvelopment and applications of a VIrtual hybrid platform for multiscale analysis of advanced StructUres of aircraft). He graduated at Politecnico di Torino in 2019, earning a MSc in mechanical engineering. His master thesis started during an extracurricular internship, held at Thales Alenia Space France, under the patronage of ESA, and it was further developed in collaboration with the MUL2 group, under the guide of Prof. Carrera. The topic was about the comparison of numerical methods for the calculation of thermo-elastic deformations of satellite structures. He gained a BSc in mechanical engineering, in 2015, at the same university, presenting a thesis on finite element analysis of a splined coupling for aircraft turbines. His activities reside in areas such as the functional and structural design of mechanical systems and components, vibration mechanics, numerical modelling, computational micro-mechanics, finite element analysis. Since November 2019 he's working in research and development with the MUL2 group.
