A schematic description of the CUF and the related fundamental nucleus of the stiffness matrix for 3D, 2D and 1D models

MORE INFORMATIONS ABOUT CUF COMING SOON ON THIS WEBSITE

1D CUF Models are based on two classes of higher-order formulations, the Taylor Expansion Class (TE) and the Lagrange Expansion Class (LE). A brief overview of the 1D CUF can be found here, including theoretical overviews and numerical examples. Different applications have been developed with particular attatnion given to thin-walled structures, composites and aeroelasticity.

2D CUF Models are based on to Principle of Virtual Displacements (PVD) and Reissner Mixed Variational Theorem (RMVT). A brief overview of the 2D CUF can be found here, including theoretical overviews and numerical examples. Some results of the 2D CUF model capabilities can be found here. Different application have been developed with particular attention given to multi-field analysis and multi-layered structures.
